Use of the limitation
You must keep warm and get home ASAP as there is a storm coming. But your car's heater and everything else keeps breaking. Also, "Keeping the engine warm".
Cookies eaten
I'd say 1-3 i mostly had fruits and coffee.

This is a quite creative take on the car driving type of games. Normally these types of games are difficult to make a game interesting since the player is just driving and maybe the goal is to not hit anything. This game adds another layer of depth to those games by having a minigame to fix different parts of the car which makes this game significantly more unique and enjoyable. However, the drawback in this game is that it is difficult to tell how the player loses. There is no timer (until a random one appears in the top left) and it seems like problems happen in the car even if you dont hit anything. Overall this is a really creative take on the genre with a few minor issues. Great job :)
Simple little game and an enjoyable few minutes, the mini games were a little bit difficult to understand quick enough to stop myself dying at first but after I had figured that out I managed to drive around and make it home before the storm got me. Well done both of you!
This is the first game I've played that explores the "Staying Warm" theme in such an interesting way! There are a few things I'd like to highlight.
- I think the game does incorporate the theme, but it feels more like an additional mechanic that gets a little lost among the other gameplay elements. At first, I wasn't entirely sure how the game connected to the theme. Perhaps making this connection a little more apparent from the beginning could help players better understand the idea behind the game.
- The autumn theme was another aspect I would have loved to see explored a little more. To me, the game felt more like a city or urban driving experience than an autumn-themed game. Adding a few more autumn-inspired details, especially at the beginning, could help establish the atmosphere and make the game's interpretation of the jam themes more immediately recognizable. That way, the car would feel like a natural part of the overall concept rather than the main focus, with the jam themes helping give the experience its own identity.
- I found repair minigames really interesting! They reminded me a little of Among Us, and I enjoyed seeing how they were implemented.
- I'd especially like to thank the artist for artwork. The game looks really good overall, and the visuals do a great job of creating the feeling of a city. Everything fits together nicely, and nothing feels out of place stylistically.
- The controls took a little getting used to at first, mainly because the car has some inertia. However, I actually see this as a positive aspect of the game. The car feels like a car, and that makes driving more immersive.
- This might just be a matter of my own skill, but I wonder if the minigames could be made a little more forgiving. That said, I'd want to test this more before making any firm conclusions, as the current difficulty might be exactly what the developers intended.
Overall, while the game doesn't immediately communicate its connection to the jam's themes and restrictions, those elements are still present, and the game looks and plays quite well. I think there's a lot to appreciate here, especially the repair minigames, the visual presentation, and the driving itself.
Great work, everyone! =D
Thanks so much for the review! Both of us did art on the project, actually (sengul did the car it looks fantastic lol)! Honestly, if it weren't for the time limit, I could have spent the three days just polishing the car movement mechanics, but as you said, I do end up appreciating how the inertia adds to the feel of the game a little more.
The visuals of the car are interestingly integrated into the game and, in principle, the visuals are made in an interesting style.
But personally, I lacked the ability to adjust the volume of music and sounds.
It was also difficult to complete the mini-games. /\__/\
realy cool game. i liked graphics the most. thou i have a hugr concern. Your game is cool concept but time to do the quick events is much too low, at least for me, maybe im slow. i assume that when you museled memory every minigame it appeard easy but i enjoed game only when playing on easy mode because other way it was too dificult. Also ealy creative idea of implemeting heat keeping
Really fun chaotic game, but i feel like there should be a way to see the instructions for each minigame after the first time.
