Hey so this is funny but I recently found a commercial game that released a few weeks ago that has the rough same idea as you called The Rabbit Haul. It's basically farming during the day, and tower defense + roguelike during the night. Your game kind of reminded me of that. 😊

I like your direction, and I think it could work! It was a fun little experience. Maybe I think you went too far with a lot of different little mechanics. I think there's potential here, but maybe a bit fewer mechanics and a better fleshed-out combat system would have benefited your game.

But it is still a solid entry! Super happy you found my game so that I could find you back! Until the next game jam my friend! 😉

interesting, I'll have to check that out! thanks for trying the game too!

yeah I think it is a few too many minigame types and/or mechanics for a jam game, and some of the minigames suffered as a result of not enough dev time bc of that. I wanted diff chores for each day since the planting and cleaning is the same every day (with increasing trash). more fleshed out combat system would have been nice too--- but you know how it is with jams😂

I think it also seems like a bit much because I was overscoping in my head, thinking about how I could expand the game further after the jam, so this ended up being like a slice of what I would want to be a larger, maybe incremental/automated game during the day (with the manual chore minigames) then having tangible power scaling throughout the night combats and moving forward in years to the next Winters etc... this little experience would be like the 'first run' or even a tutorial run for what the game would end up being. might revisit this idea in the future, but for now it's just a jam game (I'm working on something much larger currently in my main dev time😅)

Looking forward to your future work!
