I loved the quiet suspense you gave throughout the entire story regarding jingyu's past. And the closure you gave to him was beautiful. In a world where everyone where afraid to hold on to their memories, it was brave of jingyu to carry his emotions decade after decade. The demon is my favorite, existing just by the side like an alter ego to the merchant. Perhaps the demon was actually speaking the merchant's thoughts, without any filters.
A cute game with charming characters!! Jingyu deserves a break. The yokai throughout were given great artwork and personalities, and the overarcing story and festivities were really enjoyable. What a cute found family they've formed.... A really well-done entry, especially for a solo dev - congrats!

I do LOVE some folklore. The fish maids were so very good. And really, all of your character art and designs were memorable and quite endearing. I thought your sfx and music choices were great and you did an amazing job putting this all together solo for the jam!

Amazing work for a solo dev's first game. The character designs are charming, and the story had me hooked. I think my favourites are the fish maids. Make sure you drop down the volume for the SFX, though, because it can get quite loud quite suddenly.
