Hi!
There are games where the art direction immediately tells you that you're about to experience something more experimental than a conventional game. Something whose purpose is to tell a story rather than necessarily get you hooked on a mechanic.
Your game made me feel something deeply personal. The flutes and strings create such a familiar atmosphere... there's a powerful sense of calm in there.
I think this might be one of the most honest games in the entire jam, if not the most honest. It's something where I don't sense the intervention of a machine. Instead, I feel a genuine human emotion.
I'm not going to lie, though: that sofa was incredibly frustrating, and I feel like it was an obstacle that could have been avoided. I really struggled to reach the bookshelf and the broom. But then again, somehow, even those little imperfections added to the magic of the experience...
It's not easy to make coming home feel like something magical, but you managed to do exactly that for me. I was genuinely moved by your work, your honesty, and the beautiful little moment you gave us through this game.
Reflecting on my experience, I also think we should take the "NO AI" rule more seriously when it's explicitly stated. I feel like I was too lenient with myself in that regard, and your game made me realize that I need to be more responsible about it in the future.
It was such a sweet coffee break with Marinna!
Thank you for this.
