Bruh, 5 proper orchestral pieces. We are not competing for oscar here, yes.
Jokes aside, shit like this makes me want to grind some composition tutorials/books 20h a day yes. Is very good.
However, yes. 5 piece orchestral submission kinda sets the bar a "bit" higher than usual, so here are my words of critique.
Imo It starts laking the "space" feel overall the more u listen yes. I guess after star wars  is impossible to imagine "space" orchestra without huge ammount of brass, but ye, is kinda supposed to be there, but when is not is  not good either, but when it is - it sounds like starwars etc.
I guess my point would be ye, maybe some other ways to spice up the pieces with extra "space" feel through this or that, stutters automations fx transitions etc, while leaving orchestral vibe as is, would be nice.
Other than that is prolly best submission this week yes. Very, veyrgj.

Thank you for the feedback!

There’s indeed a big John Williams influence! I used the “To Space” theme as an exercise to write a more classical symphony piece rather than what I am most familiar which is a more modern style of orchestration like John Powell’s for example.

But that’s mostly why I stayed away from most things not in a traditional orchestra, with a scarce usage of synths similar to how JW uses them to double orchesta sections or for texture.

But I agree, there’s a lot more different things to utilise to create the feeling of space without sacrificing the orchestra.

Thank you!
