Very calming, contemplative piece. I found it quite balanced and with the right amount of tension. Just found the rumble starting at around 2:30 until the end a bit disorienting, as I couldn't pinpoint what it corresponded to inside this water world you pictured with your music. Is it intended to convey wind? Great relaxing, ethereal work.

thanks for listening 🥹

I wanted it to sound like someone on a boat sailing through a lake and the wind was to give it some texture

Which I made by blowing into my phone mic

Sure, it makes total sense. I also found myself trying to recreate wind blowing to the mic in the past. Wind is however one of the most difficult sounds to capture with a microphone, as if we are too closely or directly exposed to it, it quickly saturates the mic sensor and instead of its "howling" nature we get the pure noisy variations of pressure in the capsule. In fact wind alone paradoxically makes no sound, as it is the air itself moving, but its contact with other stuff creates its sound, so in order to capture it we need to record its friction with other natural elements from far away distances in open spaces, and then we have the problem of other noises getting in the way (distant cars, insects, rustling leaves, the waves of the ocean, etc.), so not an easy feat!
