Hey there, really nice work on this! The characters and the environment look great. A few suggestions to take it to the next level:

  • Controls & Camera: It would be a much better experience if the mouse rotated the character while using WASD to move.
  • Game Feel: Adding some audio feedback when the player performs actions would really elevate the gameplay.

Good luck, mate!

I appreciate that you submitted something, but there is so little here was it worth it?

I think there are 5 interactions, and 2 of those are doors.

And others have said, but I'll go furthur, the controls are unacceptable, mouse control is a standard and not something you should allow yourself to skip, espically not with "Although movement was never meant to be the main thing".

I would seriously reflect for future Jams.

Hey, start look nice and interesting and actually much fun. But it all ended too soon. Controls were a bit weird.

I got a wild idea during testing: this uninvited guy could be a pumpkin headed murderer creature with a butcher knife in his/her hand, and trying to attempt in to a party to find someone's, or just trying to avoid getting caught - so it would remind a scene from the classic Friday 13rd type of series including goofy but fun style.

Thank you very much for your encouraging and constructive feedback! I'll make sure to take these suggestions into account when I expand it. I do agree that it ended too soon, and will make sure that the actual full version is much longer. I will also work on the controlls to make them more intuitive and similar to the standard. :)

Okay, so, your character needs a lot of work. Should be able to move mouse and the character should turn in that direction. Should be able to move with just mouse and 'W' key.

I went into the other room and nothing happened.  So, it may be a start for something.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. I will take your suggestion into account when refining the movement script. Although movement was never meant to be the main thing, I realise that it will need some work. Additionaly, there is only one room as this was intended as a prologue/tutorial, so after you talk to the bouncer with the invite, you should be told that the game is over and that there is no more content.
