The game is a great idea, but a couple of things:
- I do not know how to switch weapon types
- You should make it so you can just hold down the LMB to continuously shoot
- I could not see the candy very well
- Some of the monsters look alike
Your game is an excellent start for something very cool. You music is good, the SFX were good, and even the mechanics were good. Just a few improvements and you will be off and running.
Question: For a game like this why did you choose 3D instead of 2D. Would have been simpler, easier to program. Something like a Space Invaders kind of thing.
Wow, what a beautiful game. A very well thought out level. The SFX are perfect.
However, I couldn't get to 'E' the work sometimes. I picked up 2 candles, and 1 flowers, but when I tried to leave the candle at the appropriate grave marker it would not take it.
I have an extremely large monitor so not sure if that would affect it.
So, I see you used unity. What did you use to set up the camera the way you did, and how hard was it to import the models into Unity? I am thinking of switching from Raylib and 'C' to a game engine and would appreciate any advice. I am torn between Godot and Unity
Thanks for a wonderful game.
Buddy, you did really good. I made it through three days and then needed like 60 credits and only got like 22. Tried to depend upon the Chips, Sandwich and Water Combo too mush.
I am going to paly it again.
Graphics were great, the interface was smooth, easy to understand. Your vending machine animations were pretty much flawless. The lockdown at the end of the day was really good.
Thanks for the fun time.
I really don't have any suggestions and I usually have a ton. Maybe the items could be clearer but you can see what they are buy entering the slot number. So, yeah, it really didn't matter!
So, this is what I would have done differently. I am an old Infocom player, Zork, Infidel, Witness, like that. It is better to have interactive playing and perhaps a more clarified objective.
Your writing is good, the story is good, but it was all over the place as there seemed to be no objective. I like these kind of games but you need a parser and a clear goal.
Thank you so much for playing the game. I have had some players express that the board could be smaller and the colors could be more distinct. Have more icons, all the same color. I might update the game
Thank you so much for playing. It means a lot to a developers to have his peers comment on their game
You are not alone, others playing the game have also mentioned that the colors as well as the board size were a little difficult. You are also correct about the ramping up to bigger boards, and icons. I am trying to decide if I will update the game and then see how it works.
Thanks for playing it is greatly appreceiated.
You are exactly right. The color makes it difficult to remember. They way I did it I only needed 6 different kinds icons with 4 different colors. If I had done it the proper way I would have needed 24 separate icons. Now that I have time I might go back and do that
Thanks for playing and the suggestion.!
Your game is just excellent. I normally don't stay and play game jam games too long but yours had me hooked. See what I did there.
Graphics are top notch. Music and sound effects are perfect. I only played on EASY but I still had some trouble.
All in all a great play. Thanks for entering the jam so we could play your great game.
The game is really good. It moves very well, the AI for the characters is good. Your interface is excellent.
I just could not get them to flee. I clicked on each one a million times and they just didn't leave. Might be that I missed something.
The game is very good though.
The game is Unity, why didn't you export it to a web build?
Also, the guy sitting on the crapper was pretty good, especially when he is shaking from trying to drop a deuce.
Dude, you did good. Well done. The game was simple, fun, worked well.
You spent a lot of time on that level. It looked great.
Music good, SFX good. Movement simple.
I thought the ghosts were attacking me until I saw them leave candy behind. You could maybe change the SFX for the ghost when he drops the candy.
Thanks man, a good play!
A very wise game developer in a stream said one time "If a player can't even get past the first couple of levels or obstacles then the player will lose interest"
That happened here. I couldn't even loot the chest before the monster was on me. The monster runs faster than me. The monster can run through stuff.
I played it 3 times, got so frustrated the I just left the game.
You could lose the lighting effects. The footsteps are way to loud. And ultimately make the game easier.
- The game is so complex for a game jam it makes it virtually impossible to paly
- No music, no sound effects
- The actual battle game play needs work, I got stuck in the middle of a battle
This has the makings of a really good game. Looks like a tower defense game, but for a game jam, where the average player spends may 10 minutes tops playing a game, you are going to be hard pressed to get anyone to actually figure out an ultimately play the game.
You did a lot of work considering this was a 10 day jam
Dude, what did you do. What a great level design. There was nothing to do but it didn't matter, your level was incredible.
So, so scary music, echoing footsteps, a few zombies, and you are ready to rock and roll.
I gave 5 stars on everything because the level was so good.
I tried the mic, no go. Also you need to capture the mouse in the game frame. I have 2 monitors and the mouse kept going outside the game
Your graphics were superior. The interface works extremely well
The text size and type needs work. It was extremely small, very light. Should be at least bold. Some of the background colors made the text virtually disappear.
You should make some type of tutorial as I was just lost. That could be me though
