Hi all,

I need somebody who is really good with Arcscript who can implement advanced ... stuff.

I really want to turn the beginning of either RE1 or RE2 into an interactive fiction game on Arcweave. I've been doing some research and it’s absolutely possible. I won’t be selling this or anything, I want to demonstrate narrative design using Arcweave for my portfolio, and for fun.

I’ve already began making a beat sheet in Archweave for the RE2 opening and early RPD.  But issue is, my Arcweave abilities and Arcweave coding is very basic, so I need somebody to help me implement mechanics like health and how much ammo left etc, item pickups etc.

Sure I can use AI, and I’ve experimented - but its starts getting really messy and ends up just being so much hassle I spend all my time with the AI prompting and re-prompting. Not for me.

I'm using the RESHD project assets for the nodes/locations and for items etc - again this will not be for sale! and all credits will go on the intro screen to all necessary parties.

Hi! Is there a budget for a small paid mechanics pilot? A possible first scope is one self-contained encounter: health and ammo counters, firing blocked at zero ammo, one item pickup that cannot be collected twice, and a clean restart. You would receive a compact variable/flow map, Arcscript snippets and a test checklist. A $25 pilot could be discussed after reviewing a small example of your current setup.

My workflow uses AI-assisted coding with code and output checks. The focus would be readable mechanics you can maintain. Could you share the one mechanic causing the most trouble, whether you want help inside Arcweave or snippets to install yourself, and whether PayPal payment is possible?

Hi — are you considering paid help for one Arcscript mechanic? For example, for an ammo pickup, what should happen versus what happens now, and what budget have you set aside? Hx Works can discuss a bounded task once those details are clear. A short, non-sensitive description is enough initially; please keep private project files and game assets off this public thread.

Paid? Did you read the description? :}

Thanks for clarifying. Hx Works is looking for paid work, so I'll step aside. Best of luck with the project.
