Excellent creation ! It makes think a little about who's the intruder in the story. Taking the opposite role is sometimes refreshing.
I like the alternate rest animation of the pigeon, that's a nice detail
More guidance on what can be done could help a little more. I struggled as well on the boats until I read one of the comments (I was not that far, I even tried the keys on the pigeon). Maybe getting rid of what has become useless could be a good hint, but it would make the game easier.
I liked the music at the beginning, but since I got stuck, I listened to it looping for maybe 20 minutes, I was a little upset and wanted to quit. A switch to turn the music and the SFX would not have been rejected.
It's a solid entry nonetheless. Bravo !
