the prose is so ornate and leans so heavy on imagery i found the story hard to follow, but the character dialogue is pretty casual by contrast which cut through it nicely. i think the very elaborate prose also helps to capture the feeling of confusion and general disorientation algie must be feeling for most of the story.
really loved the presentation, especially the chess match. the ending had a nice sense of catharsis too. one of the most visually interesting ren'py vns i've read, the art is lovely too!
