Overall, the game had a distinctly fall vibe! The art was great. I really liked the second ending, however, I found it didn't quite utilize the limitation as much.
Thank you!! So, at first, I thought I used the limitation very well, but now looking back on it I really didn't, I just used it once, and then used the optional limitation of something following you. Thanks for the comment! :)
The art and ambience is by far the strongest part in my opinion.
In general it is really nice and ending one gives the theme 100%.
I am not sure about the second ending tho... A jump scare when you get caught is to much for a comfy game in my view.
Thank you very much!! I REALLY tried to perfect the vibe, so I'm glad you liked it.
And yeah... I only realized the jumpscare mighta been a bit... much... after I released the game. I definitely need to get better at following themes more strictly hahaha.
Almost didnāt encountered the limitation, finished the game and was like āā¦ā¦. weeeeelllllllā putting the 1/2 ending at the end was a good idea! I gave it an other shot and understood your intent! I find the art super pretty, you did use some premade asset but it all matches seamlessly, and the animations are nice! anyway, gg!
Tysm!! I only realized just now that the limitation wasn't included at all in the first ending lol
the theme and the limitation is on point. the art is great.
Ty!
Managed to complete both endings. The 1st one is pretty wholesome, decided to be nice and not hit the scarecrow. The 2nd one suddenly turned into horror game which I was not expecting in a cosy game. Inside the warehouse's lower floor I'm not sure what's the trick to get past that scarecrow that's moving back and forth. Tried looking away and looking at it does not seem to do anything, the movement seems entirely random. At some parts of the lower floor I did not get caught by the scarecrow when it was directly above me, so I was pretty confused. The jumpscare was pretty good though and was quite tame as someone who is actually scared of playing horror games.
Thank you for playing! So, I REALLY should have communicated this clearly in the game, but the trick was that you have to stand completely still while the scarecrow is directly above you, and if you move while he's above you, you get jumpscared. And yep the movements were random. I would've tried to code better logic for it but I was out of time. Thanks for the feedback!
Extremely atmospheric! The scarecrow actually got me, I suppose thatās what I get for throwing a rock at it. I didnāt expect this direction, but I really like it! The minor details like the parallaxing are really nice too. Wonderful work!!
Thank you very much!! :D
