Subway Camera – play Subway Surfers with your body (webcam), looking for 2-3 testers

I made a free tool that turns your moves in front of the webcam into keyboard presses, so you can play Subway Surfers (browser version on Poki): step to the side to switch lanes, jump, crouch to roll, clap for the hoverboard.

Page: https://mouvlab-games.itch.io/subway-camera

Password: mouvlab

Needs: Windows 10/11, a webcam, about 2 m of space.

Play it as if you had found it on your own: don't ask me anything while you try it. Then tell me:

1. Did anything block you (download, Windows warning, calibration)?

2. Did the character react fast enough to your moves?

3. Did it ever do a move you didn't do (jump, roll, lane change)?

4. Would you play it again?

Brutal honesty welcome, thanks!

GEM ALERT

1) no blocks by windows
2) there is a bit of latency but i think it is because of my hardware and arrangement
3) it often does not register roll

4) yes defintely very enjoyable, would play again

Thanks a lot for testing and for the detailed answers, this really helps! And thanks for the gem alert 😄

About the roll, could you tell me a bit more?

- When you crouched, did your shoulders go below the orange line on screen, and did the "Roll" label light up?

- Did you crouch slowly or quickly?

- Roughly where was your webcam (height, distance)?

Quick tip: pressing O in game raises the orange line, so a smaller crouch is enough to roll.

Quick update, 2 weeks after release: Subway Camera now has 70+ downloads, thanks a lot to everyone who tested it and left feedback here!

I'm working on a small update to make the calibration more forgiving (some of you had trouble with the roll registering). If you tried it, I'd love to know: what was the hardest part to get right?
