A great jam game, changing costumes to solve puzzles is a fun idea. I was able to beat it and enjoyed playing it minus a few frustrating moments. I just have some thoughts:
- Having to restart the level from the beginning with the zombie is so painful because the zombie walks so slowly
- I was stuck for a while at the part where the goblin can walk through boxes and there's a fan that pushes him off. There was a ledge there that made it unclear if I could jump and land there or not.
- One good level design
ruleguideline is that you should never make an impossible jump (or whatever) look close enough that the player thinks they might be able to make it if they time it just right and keep trying
- One good level design
- While it's probably a good idea to have more than one costume available at one time, if the player gets stuck, it can be unclear what they need to do to progress. A little uncertainty is fine (we don't want to go full AAA and have the character tell you exactly what to do) but if there are like 4 costumes and a few potential directions to go, the number of possibilities increases exponentially and can be overwhelming
- One bug I had was getting stuck behind the police car as the zombie and only being able to move left and right
