How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
The main focus of the game if the junk (trash) that the ship would find in the trip.
The trash is the main theme, so we also wanted to include a more subtle inspiration from the main theme into the mechanics of the game. The inventory management, where you need to discard "trash" and think that you inventory is full of worthless items - this is the core idea that we wanted the player's to feel.
This idea came from the experience that one may have while playing minecraft, where you feel your inventory full of "trash" and you will wanted to clean it and organize it.
The special object is more a straigh forward relation - it's literally a craftable item, maybe the best one, that grants a boost to the player so big that will just instanlly win the game if you are able to craft it.
What tools and 3rd party assets did you use?
we use godot, clipstudio paint, pixelover, photoshop and free music & sound assets
How did you use generative AI? (If you did)
When try our best to avoid using AI as much as we can, but we ended using it for getting some merge correct in github desktop that were causing a lot of problems and also as a searching tool in some cases for some implementations and knowledge with did not have (read a json file in gdscript, light & particle implementation and some small weird adjustment inside the hud behavior and looks)

the art direction of this game is impeccable, really well done. The game is a bit stressful but nothing a bit more level design cant fix. its so peak
thanks you c:
I prefer chill games, so this was a little bit too complicated for me buttt the vibe is so cool! Feels like being on Mars (wall-e vibe), love the visuals!!!!
Thanks! We wanted to go for a post-apocalyptic vibe. I think we could have added more scrap along the path to really make it feel like a spaceship junkyard—but thanks for giving it a try! :D
Visually beautiful and awesome concept and amazing sound design, but there is quite a lot of management happening all at the same time so can definitely get a bit overwhelming right at the start. Very good, well done!
Thanks! I think we might have made it a bit too difficult xD. Thanks for giving it a try, though! c:
Incredible game visually. The difficulty was unbalanced to me, the crew keep dying and it's hard to work all the resources at the same time but the concept is genius.
Thanks! We agree we may have made it a bit too difficult. We wanted players to feel under pressure throughout the game, but we may have pushed it too far. Thanks for the feedback! :D
I love the visuals and the vibe, its fantastic! I think the gameplay is a little overwhelming though, partly cause your just thrown into, the core loop is nice though!
Thanks you for playing it! Jonel had the idea of using a wasteland and I think it give it a incredible vibe! And yeah, a tutorial would have being another solution to make it feel less complicated and not put the player in the middle of a resource war lol.
Super thank you again for comment!
This game has great potential, but at it's current state it feels too overwhelming, I felt that i never really had the time to check my inventory for what resources I have or plan ahead of which upgrades i want to get due to the pressure from losing the ship's systems, and neither does the game neccesitates these upgrades, which is a shame since I saw that there were quite interesting upgrades in the crafting menu that I would've loved to have interacted with. If you plan to develop this further I would suggest a slower pacing so that the player has time to breathe.
Wow, actually a really nice critic and this is something that I'm very passionate about so I feel the necessity to reply you with a long text too lol.
You pointed out a problem that I think is pretty obvious, it is too overwhelming to play. I think the problem came from the resources having similar times of reduction, resulting in a lot of overlaping of messages at similar times.
Also we did not wanted to make the gameplay too long (so upgrades have more meaning), at the end is a jam and we thought that the people might not will want to spend much time in each game. However, a lot of the upgrades we added were a lot to fun while testing between us but can only have value when you have some experience already with the systems. If we have had two hours more of time to try it more maybe we could have adjust it better (or we would have try to add something else lol)
I think I rant more about other things but your comment is 100% an opinion that we will take into consideration not only for this game -if we decide to continue developing- but to other experiences or jam that will try to be part of. Super thank you for commenting! this is the best type of comments a think a game can receive!
A pretty addictive game, i really liked the art and the sound. It’s a very good piece of work!
Thanks you so much! We put a crazy amount of effort to make look as good as we could!
Super unique and engaging, love the art and music design
Thanks you c:
Genuinely so good, gameplay is unique and visuals are great
Thanks :D
