It's a very subtle change, but the leaves do move when you are not looking (e.g. when the book is up). We mostly had fun with the optional limitations:
- There is a gnome following you whose position changes whenever you go in a pile of leaves and back to the park. Like a mini hide-and-seek game.
- Then we limited the player to seeing only two leaves at a time which works exactly like how you would look at a book, two pages at a time!
We wanted a cozy, kinda-educational game that kids can play so we went with this direction
