This is a cool idea, I like the twist of harmlessly scaring the enemies away. The art and music are fine for a 48hr jam - you should give yourself some more credit! Thanks for jamming with us :D

Thanks! You’re right, it is pretty good for 2 days. A lot of people seem to like the enemies running instead of dying. Thanks for hosting the jam!

The enemy sprites are absolutely delightful! I got a good chuckle out of them running away when they were hit. I think the gameplay might feel better if the money returns were higher, so the player can place towers more often. Good work!

Thanks! I plan on adding this game to game collection thing im making, so I'll be sure to make the enemys drop more money and keep the running animations :)

Did not get the gameplay loop to work but I suspect that it is because it wasn't finished. Got to experience some art and music though. Maybe test a different genre next time? Tower defense is probably hard to do in such short time.

Yeah. I've only really done platformers before, and the game wasn't finished. I'm practicing some other 2D genres so that if I want to use them in a jam I have an idea on how to do it.

Not sure if I’ll expand the game, but I’m making a game that has a bunch of genres so I can add something like this + the art there 👍
