A really cozy game! Love the puzzle aspect of trying to get the right blend of leaves and the right shapes. Quite a few mechanics implemented well together. Fantastic job!

Really liked the gameplay! Each recipe felt like its own little spatial puzzle, having to figure out how to fit the different leaves together while getting the right flavors. Going out to gather leaves was fun too, gave you a nice change of pace between making teas and made for a fun gameplay loop. The art looked great! Loved all the different leaf designs, and the recipe book was really cute too. The music and little sounds of the leaves added to that cozy autumn feeling. There's quite a bit going on here for a two-week jam. Really cool stuff.

Loved the aesthetic and the art of the game! The music was very soothing and the crunchiness of the leaves were also oddly satisfying. Figuring out what each leaf did was a pain point in my experience. The picture attached mentions being able to see what my leaves taste like but I don't see any such tab in the recipe book. Unless this is talking about the bars to the right of the mat telling you what you currently have arranged. Either way, it was confusing me as I  couldn't figure out what it was asking me to do.

Other than that it's very well done! Love to see an ambitious project in a jam!

Ok I’m pretty sur I’ve completed the story! (last tea = first tea, right?)

I will start with the negative points, so I can finish with the positive: first, by tree times I couldn’t execute a story npc’s commande, because the leafs just didn’t fit in the recipe pattern. second: the game was waaaaaay too long with the random customers, it took me something like 3 hours to see the end of the story, for a jam that is, in my opinion, too much 😓 it also spoiled the music for me past a certain point, because for that length, one, unique, music looping in the background was just too redoundant… Also small note, I played on a laptop, and without a mouse, the “turn leaf” input was a bit funky, would’ve been nice to have an alternative input for us laptop players, but that said, I appreciate the thought put on having it be 100% playable by mouse!

Ok now for the good part: Loved the idea and gameplay loop, That was nice to gather leaf and familiarize with the ingredients this way. I also really enjoyed the writing, and getting to meet who I assume is your actual gamjam team was a pleasure 🫡 I could relate with a lot of those characters, I too am an artist who’s plans make the scope of the art direction bigger and bigger days after days, coupled with the unique programmer of my team that will not sleep until everything is all set and working 🫡 The sound design was cute and nice, and the drawings for the props and characters appealing ✨ That was an ambitious project with a lot of original ideas and mechanics, y’all can be super proud!

Oh wow thank you for playing the whole thing!

We did find a free recipes that can't be finished with the flavoured leaves. Unfortunately we didn't have a lot of time in the end to rework the recipes so we kept it like that because the game can still be continued at least.

Thank you so much for that detailed comment! I kind of have a feeling that every team has at least one perfectionist artist and a programmer that will sacrifice sleep until the jam is over 😂

This is actually a banger! It was quite hard to stop myself from playing lol, it's so soothing and satisfying. I could definitely see myself playing a full version that's more polished and developed. I didn't realise the book of leaves existed at first, but it didn't matter because the properties were conveyed well through the designs, and it was fun getting to guess and be correct. I adore the art of the different teas, especially the garden tea with the fungus growing up the cup. Some small critiques - the mint leaf in particular was very glitchy and I had two just permanently stuck to the mat by the end of my play session aha. I also think some customer requests might not be possible to fulfil. I got asked for clairvoyance tea with 3/4 fruitiness and I couldn't see a possible arrangement that could make that happen. Anyway, thanks for sharing your game, definitely one of my favourites that I've played!

Thank you for your kind comment!

Ye leaves sometimes get stuck in the mat which is annoying at some point but at least it doesn't lead to a dead end.

Thank you so much for playing :)

Super fun and beautiful art. It was a bit hard to get the hang of at first because I didn't realize there were leaves that only added to the fullness and not the flavour, and I spent a long time waiting around for the clover to fall so I could fill in my recipes.

Developer

Yes some of the UI could be more intuitive for sure.

Thank you for playing anyway and for commenting!  :)

What a charming game! The grid system on the leaves is a really fun take! The audio feedback is really great too!

Such a cute idea for the game! Took me some time to understand what the game wants from me as a player, but once I've figured it out, the process felt very relaxing and meditative. The colliders for picking up some of the leaves felt funny at times, but I'm not sure if that was just my browser's issue with drag&drop thing. Artwork and atmosphere is lovely though. Love me some nice brewing game, very nicely done! ☆

Such a cute game! Love the cozy vibe, art is amazing and theres so much depth to the gameplay for a 2 week game jam!

Developer(+2)

So kind of you to say : ) a lot of the first week went into brainstorming and ideas, followed by a week of an intense grind to implement and iterate on what does and doesn't work. Thank you for playing ^_^

The art is so pretty! And the leaf blowing animations <3

If I can give you a tip, you can scale up the canvas height in the "Edit" tab in itch.io to make up for Unity's footer bar. That's why it's currently cut off.

Developer (1 edit) (+2)

Thank you so much! All animations were done through code to ease up our wonderful artist : ) there's so much you can do through modifying the values on a sprite to save time on traditional animating!

P.S, thank you for the tip on the footer! fixed just now : )
