I was way too paranoid about that pumpkin on my first playthrough. I pretty much just stayed there watering it the whole time, afraid of what would happen if I left it alone lol. The art was really charming. Loved the character designs and the whole magical school setting. The rain and music made the room feel nice and cozy too, even though I was sitting there waiting for that pumpkin to turn into some kind of monster XD. The dialogue was engaging too. Poor Dove, getting dragged into Magpie's nonsense lol. Pretty neat how your choices could lead to different endings. Makes the whole pumpkin babysitting situation a lot more interesting!

Thank you for playing! I did took a little bit of inspiration from comfy jam summer’s limitations when I was browsing that page.

I love the art style on this game! I'm so curious to know more about this school! What other shenanigans does Magpie pull us into? What does Mr Raven look like? I must know more!!

Developer

Thanks for the comment! I just made a walkthrough section on the game’s page and if you follow intercom route’s first ending you’ll see Mr Raven looks like. Magpie generally is very magpie (the bird), so feel free to imagine what he does aside from hoarding shinies.

Really nice game, normally not a fan of these types of games but this one is good. Great work :)

You really leaned into the limitation! Not sure if its a bug but I didn't drink the "grape juice" and i answered the intercom but went back to watch the pumpkin. The timer ran out but nothing happened and I was left to continue to watch the plant for eternity lol. Just thought you should know! Overall great art, cozy music and rain, and multiple endings. Good job!

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Did you managed to trigger grape juice events and intercom events in one playthrough? If yes normally that’s impossible and could be a bug, if not then yes it’s probably still a bug from only-hell-know-which-switch-or-variable. Anyways thanks for letting me know.

After watering the first time, I left to get a drink and when i came back the intercom was there so I guess there was no grape juice. But after answering the call I didn't do the assignment and went back to watching the pumpkin and watering it each time until the timer ran out.

Developer

Ok, thanks for the info. Could be one of the conditions, I should fix this once rating period is over.

RAHHHH I LOVE RPGMAKER GAMES SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!! IN THIS WORLD OF GODOT AND UNITY GAMES YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH IT PLEASES ME!!!!!!!! YOUR ART IS SO GOOD ITS SO KAWAII!!!!!!! I love the little pumpking spirit too!!! And I think those are your ocs?! I love the main character's design and personality so much!!! Good job!!!! def a 5/5 game!!

Developer

Thanks so much for the comment and I’m happy you enjoyed my work!! Technically those aren’t my OCs though I do quite a bit of OC stuff so it’s kinda easy to create Dove and other characters. Again thanks for playing!

Woah, this is my first time playing an RPGMaker game in a game jam. The art is fantastic, I would have never known it was RPGMaker if it wasn't for the title and ui.

How many endings were there? I dozed off the first time, and then drank too much grape juice the second, I assume there's an ending if the timer ran out too? BGM was lovely too, and theme was well incorporated. I assume watering the plant was the right choice?

Hi thanks for the comment! From what my sleep deprived brain remember, there’s about 5 endings on 2 randomly determined route:

Wine route:

  1. Drink grape juice 2 times
  2. Water the pumpkin 3 times (so either don’t drink grape juice at all or don’t do it for the second time)

Intercom route:

  1. Don’t pick up the magic intercom call, or pick it up but decide to do nothing about it
  2. Pick up the magic intercom call and do something about it

Both route: When no condition is fulfilled, another ensing

That’s basically it, again thanks so much for playing!
