Thank you so much for the kind words! We're glad we got to be your last vote, and that you enjoyed the story and characters!! Thank you so much for playing :)

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback! Honestly, there was supposed to be more between the kids and the next fella Mr. Morrison talked to in order to slow things down a bit for him. I worried about things happening too quick there, but most of it came down to the time constraint in the end! Had to scratch some characters and some lessons, for sure. This was my first game jam and I definitely overscoped a little bit in terms of what all I could fit in! Also, since I am not the programmer, I didn't realize how long it would take to implement certain things like animations between dialogue etc. A great learning experience. In terms of the other characters, fair enough haha. I'm new to writing, and probably put myself into the characters sometimes when I should have tried to step outside of myself, if that makes sense! I'm glad you enjoyed the art and sound! And I really do appreciate the honest feedback a lot. There's a lot of nuances in story-telling for sure, and hearing from lots of different people really helps me pin down what works and what doesn't  :)

Thank you, that’s so kind! Glad you enjoyed :)

Hi! This is the artist (I am actually the one who played your game as well on this account!) Thank you so much for your kind words! It really means so much to hear. This is my first game jam I've ever joined, and I've seen so much support and positivity here <3. I definitely intend to continue making games, since this experience has been so great thanks to you and the rest of the community. Thank you again for your comment!

Thank you  for your comment and feedback! We went back and forth about the Mr. Morrison's walking pace. In the end, we decided we wanted the tone of the story to be reflected in the gameplay, and for Mr. Morrison's frustrations to be felt. Definitely understand your point though. Next game jam, we'll make a sprightly young whipper snapper to spice things up haha! Thanks again for your thoughtful comment! :)

Thanks for playing!

The gameplay loop was so satisfying, and I loved the little movement as you move your cursor around. The fairies drinking the drink was such a smart way to go about the limitation too. Very nicely done!

Wow this is such a cool concept! I played this on mouse and keyboard and had no problem maneuvering the air balloon falloon.  The sound of the leaves changing into fall colours was so satisfying, and I found the overall feel to be very relaxing and visually breathtaking. Amazing art as well! Great job overall

This is absolutely adorable! And the art is so polished, it's incredible! This absolutely looks like a professional game, I'm genuinely so impressed. The pantantan are so adorable, and I'm glad I was able to befriend them :'). Amazing entry, and the implementation of the limitation is so smooth!!

I loved the FNAF-style gameplay! The police blasting into the scene each time absolutely cracked me up. Also the 1-4 + C were great keyboard options and made switching between the cameras/calling the popo really intuitive. It would be cool to have more monster options (maybe as the night progresses) to make it a bit harder. But honestly, for two weeks, this is fantastic. Great job!

This is such a cool concept for a game, and I'm impressed with how much content you were able to include in only two weeks! The idea of sweeping the leaves away from the poems is really creative, and a cool take on the theme. The font was a little bit too small to read properly, though. I would have liked to read the poetry as it's being transcribed. There was also a point near the start where the dialogue and subtitles got thrown off from each other. Overall, a really cool game, and the voice acting was top tier! I'm curious to know more about this guy now :) Great entry!

Wow, I finally got around to playing this one and I'm glad I did! What a beautiful art style. The parallax and waves look sooo awesome and all the sound effects and UI are great. An incredible amount of polish. A very unique and awesome entry (although I feel a bit dense because I couldn't figure out how it fit the limitation).

This game is beyond fantastic! I love games that teach you little things about life and inspire curiosity in nature!  This had the perfect mix of coziness and difficulty. I LOVED the variation in the leaves, it made it feel so real. I genuinely want to go outside and do this in real leaf piles now.  Amazing job to everyone who was involved with this project. Easy 5/5!

I love the art on this game, especially the way the characters bounce around in their idle animation. And colours are so vibrant and autumn-y . Overall the art style and atmosphere is so unique and cozy!! The premise is simple but still engaging the way you put it together. I loved going through the rooms trying to return the lost items. Great take on the limitation, too.  Overall, awesome entry! :)

Ha! I definitely feel the dementia trying to find those ingredients, nice use of the limitation! Also, the SFX are quite good, and overall I'd say the game was very cozy! Good job! :)

LOVE the art on this game! The wasps are out to get me I swear! I'm sorry to my potoleaf Bilbo who got stuck in food paradise :'( For real, though, the aesthetic is amazing, and the limitation is worked in so well. I also loved the music you chose. I saw people mentioning studio Ghibli in the comments, and I so see it! I knew this was going to be good as soon as I saw people comparing your art to probably the greatest animation studio of all time. Fantastic job to everyone involved!!

This is such a cute game! I got fired the first time because I forgot about the cobwebs. But then I played again and made it through the night! Love the Night at the Museum reference, I need to go watch that again now! It'd be cool if this had more levels that got progressively harder (maybe post jam?) I would absolutely play the heck out of this if it was longer. Great job!

I loved this game! The aesthetic, the golden hour lighting, the crow SFX  (which I genuinely didn't realize was a dude making crow noises until I hit the credits at the end--I'd give it a 6/5 for audio if I could because I'm sorry that's hilarious). Very satisfying mechanic and great implementation of the limitation. Great job!

Cute art and great use of the cameras for the limitation! I'm impressed with how much you were able to add in two weeks! Great entry! I'm getting FNAF flashbacks

Thank you so much for the wonderful comment. Quite honestly, this story made me (the programmer) quite emotional too the first few times I read it - especially once I got it all in the game with my partner's art. I couldn't believe how good it was. I've been wishing she would make games with me for so long... so when she started coming up with story, I was all for it. She basically wrote the whole thing herself with a little input here and there and I just helped it come to life with the programming.
Our cats got many many pets through the making of this as well! :) Glad you enjoyed it!

This is such a cute game! Was not expecting the Sheriff to turn into the Demogorgon when I got his order wrong LMAO. That just about killed me! Great job with all the art and designs. I noticed that sometimes the coffee grinds would disappear when I accidentally clicked on them instead of dragging (maybe the collision for the trashcan overlaps with the coffee grinder a bit?)

Overall, super well done!

Thank you for the lovely comment. We're really sorry to hear about your grandpa... it makes us happy to know our little game helped in some small way. Loss is probably the hardest part of life and we both have experienced it in our own lives as well. Our game definitely is a bit niche in the pacing and length of the story. But, like you said, we wanted it to feel like it was told from the old man's perspective. Thank you for for playing.

I got excited when I read the title! What a clever way to implement the limitation and the art and music add to the vibe. This puzzle idea has a lot of potential. It's a simple idea but gets difficult quickly! The only thing I might like to see added to this is a move counter for each level so players can try to beat their own high score. Really enjoyed this one.

What an amazing game!! I'm not usually a fan of the horror genre, but this wasn't overly scary so I liked it (except for the giant stomping shadow man - that was terrifying)! I played this game for about an hour and still had more to explore and figure out - just shows how much content you were able to put in here. These kind of walking puzzles also aren't usually a strong point for me, and even though I took lots of notes, I wasn't able to beat the game.

I'm astounded at how much content you managed to include and how well you incorporated the limitations (including "something follows you")! Also, in an hour of playing the game I didn't find a single noticeable bug! Great job.

Easiest 5 stars we've given a game yet. My partner and I were drawn in by the grumpy old man who reminded us of our own game. The art is absolutely gorgeous. Incredible work on the SFX, music, and camera as well. It all fit so nicely and felt extremely polished. I teared up a little bit at the end. Thank you for making this.

My partner and I took turns playing this one! Love this entry! :)
We cracked up the first time the character started using a claw to chop things instead of a knife. Unique mechanics and it fit the theme and limitation really well! Nicely done.

What an amazing game!! The art and audio are so beautiful and the gameplay is a lot of fun. Everything is so polished and so cozy. Nice job! Extremely well done. :)

Bro  stop drinking the soda!

I loved this game! Reminds me of the puzzle and escape-room style games I used to play as a kid! What a unique approach to the limitation, too. Took me a while to find that dang water bottle, but was definitely satisfying when it all came together. Great job on the game! Would absolutely attend these guys' party.

Thank you so much for your comment! That's really nice to hear! Fleshing out the world with this art was a lot of work lol but it was really rewarding! :)

Thank you for your comment! We were back and forth on the current objective thing since we felt the game didn't really have much inherent difficulty (being such a simple quest system). But I can definitely see your point.  Also fair enough on the walking speed lol! Thanks again for your thoughts!

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed our old man simulator haha!

This was such a cute game. I LOVED the drawing pad, what an awesome touch! The art is fantastic, really immersive. Great job overall! Featuring my mouse drawing of the second-last panel haha!

Only thing that would have been nice is an undo or erase feature! Had to commit to my silliness! XD

Hey, it's Michael from the Lawless discord. :)
My partner and I finally got around to playing this. The gameplay and controls feel very smooth and art looks great!
I'm a bit envious of your itch page for the game haha - it looks absolutely incredible!
Great work guys!

Thank you so much for the kind comment. This was the first game jam my fiancé has ever taken part in (she did the art and most of the story). I did the programming and basically just put her art and writing into a visual novel format. It makes me so happy to see her work getting the attention it deserves! :) So glad you were moved by the story and appreciated the way we worked the limitations into the game.

WOW! This game was absolutely gorgeous! The pie-making was so comfy and the sound effects added to the effect so well. The story was beautiful! My fiance and I played this game together, and we both physically felt it when the old man opened up about the changes undergone since Keith has been away (trying not to spoil that part). The message was beautiful and applies to everyone in one sense or another. Overall, a very heartfelt and bittersweet experience! Probably our favourite entry that we've seen! Very good job to everyone involved, you should be very proud of this jam entry! :)

I love the art style on this game! I'm so curious to know more about this school! What other shenanigans does Magpie pull us into? What does Mr Raven look like? I must know more!!

Imaging playing this as a VR game haha! Nice concept! Very unique. I quite liked the handbook and the sounds of the birds and the wind. Would have been interesting if we fell after the time ran out haha! Although maybe that wouldn't fit into the coxy realm anymore! Overall, nicely done, and absolutely fits the theme and limitation!

This is relatable because I, too, have to pet my cat before doing anything productive or else there will be consequences. Love the art in this game. The "monster motel" jingle at the start cracked me up because I wasn't expecting it! Definitely super cozy, easy to pick-up, and sufficiently difficult so as to be entertaining. One of the best entries I've played so far! Awesome work!

Very cute game!  liked the concept of freezing your enemies with your gogglins! The only thing is that often the other enemies wouldn't attack me, and so I could just walk around freezing and killing the enemies one-by-one. Overall though, it's a really cool concept, and I like the chessboard-style arena. I also like how you implemented the limitation of things changing outside your field of view. Overall really well done!

The art is beautiful and I love the large map! Like the others, I could have used a bit more hand holding haha! Also, my volume buttons were moving my character for some reason! Beautiful game and I love the concept. Can't believe how big the map is for a two-week game. Good job!
