Hi everyone! PSX Townsfolk & Zombies is a pack of background characters for retro / PS1-style games: 22 everyday townsfolk and an infected zombie version of each.

v1.4 (free update): every character was remodelled and repainted: continuous bodies with smooth joints, faces with real features, hair with strands, hands with thumbs, shoes with soles, clothes with seams, pockets and prints, and zombies with dripping blood, open jaws, ribs and glowing eyes.

  • One shared 17-bone humanoid skeleton, so all 35 animations work on every character: idle, walk, run, talk, wave, sit, typing, phone, carry, push, scared, death, zombie walk, crawl and attack, and more
  • 3 outfits per townsperson, 512×512 textures with a 256-colour palette, about 2,100–3,400 triangles
  • GLB + FBX + Mixamo-named FBX, tested in Godot 4.5 and Unity 6 (Humanoid); Unity import script included
  • Free web demo · free sample (3 characters) · smaller packs: City Workers, Zombie Starter

Halloween sale: −30% from 25 October to 4 November.

Made with AI assistance (procedural generation in Blender with AI-assisted scripting), disclosed on the store page.

Update v1.4 is out (free for all buyers): all 44 characters remodelled and repainted, +2 new characters (casual guy, woman in a summer dress), long skirts, and a free web demo to try them in your browser.

Same skeleton and animations, so existing projects just need a re-import. Made with AI assistance, disclosed on the page.
