Kaz and I gave it an attempt, unfortunately I don't think everyone knows Morse code, So we can see people struggle with this, even though the codes needed are there on screen, our feedback would be player onboarding and hints for that etc. But we enjoyed it.

Good job fellow morse code enjoyers! Great idea and execution, only gripe I have is with entering the morse code... I feel like I needed more leeway in what a click is, too often I wanted to input a dot and it game me a dash instead

Developer

Thanks for playing :D

You can increase “line time” in settings to prevent accidental dashes. Default settings are timings that were comfortable for me during testing.

Ohh nice I didn't notice that, I have to try again with this newfound information! +1 star for controls and accessibilty :D

Interesting concept. The reader for the morse code is very responsive, once I got the hang of it I felt like I always got the reading I wanted. I wish the difficulty didn't reduce the visibility and instead added more obstacles,  right now I just end up spending most of the gameplay time slowly scanning the area to find a valid path.

Thank you for playing :D Always happy to know that someone managed to get used to Morse control :D

I did consider (re)moving some of objectives for lower difficulties, but to properly make it would require a lot more time that we had left at the time. And tbh, it probably would end up about same experience as it is now (even worse without change of light radiuses).

Btw, easy and impossible levels also change frog’s attack range :D

I think you did a great job incorporating the theme into the gameplay. The artwork also fits the overall atmosphere of the game really well!

I found entering the Morse code a little challenging, but I think it's a really cool idea.

Very nice idea! I really liked the mechanic to light up the sea, and some good game design was in place so that the whole game can be played with just the mouse

Developer

Thank you for playing :)

If possible - I always prefer to adjust design and inputs to support touchscreen gameplay, since some of my friends don’t have PC, but still want to play. Do, this time I had to just hope that it works and didn’t get chance to properly test if everything works as intended :D

Wow I LOVED the look of the "fog of war" in this. Very fun puzzle, even if I felt like it took the entire level to feel like I could control the game. Nice job.

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing :D

Even if it took some time, you DID feel like you could control it. I’ll count that as win :)

I also like how Fog ended up looking. Still learning shaders, one feature at time :D

Yeah I mean it was genuinely SUPER cool so worth tolerating weird control scheme (that I think was totally jam-appropriate even if it wasn't what I "wanted" hahaha)

Omg! I love that y'all are using morse code for your game too! It's so interesting to see another game using that idea! Gotta say, at first I thought I had to get to the lighthouse but it was after I retried it that I understood I had to get to the other side

Developer(+1)

Thank you for playing :D

I was worried that this way to control ship might end up impossible for players. But now I can properly rest :)

I understand, I had friends playing my game and they were so confused about Morse code that I had to add another way to understand it than I originally planned. Thankfully it was early on
