I can't, for the life of me, figure out how this game works. Every time, no matter what I do, the key always says failure. I get the model number, I open the right panel, I get all the lights off and on in every conceivable pattern and it always says failure.

You gotta follow what the "module" part of the manual says
For example: the model
is DS87-6949
1.Does the model numb start with pv? -No, so move on.
2.Is the number part odd? -Yes, so just tune the buttons as the same as the manual shows and insert the key and it should show "success"
