I agree with the other comments here. It’s more like a comedy sketch—but what a sketch it is! :D
You can tell this was a game jam project, and it’s actually quite charming. It’s great that you’re happy with the results; that’s what matters most.
Since you’re going for a pixel-art style, I’d recommend picking out a pixel-art font from Google Fonts right at the start of a project. That way, once it’s loaded into Godot, you can easily apply it to labels and buttons with very little effort. If you’re placing UI elements over a background, it’s also a good idea to ensure the background shares a similar color tone. If that’s not possible, you could create a separate background specifically for the UI. I know there’s no combat here—so the "dexterity" stat in the bottom-left corner isn’t critical—but it’s a good example of how a color like black might work well for some stats, but not for others (like dexterity). One more thing: if the game requires pressing "Enter" to start, it might be better to keep the in-game buttons positioned near where the "Enter" key was. Alternatively, if you decide that the player should use the mouse to progress, why not make the entire game mouse-driven? These are minor details, but they’re worth defining clearly—don’t just brush them off as unimportant!
Have a great day!
