how to start the game?
You might need to click on the play button first for the game to load in, or you might need to click on the game again to re-focus if you alt-tabbed to another program or such. Z/C on keyboard should work on the title screen to start the normal mode when you get there, and X/V would let you go to Gravitron mode.
