The trick to this game is by the time you have 100 of those energy ball thingies..the trick is to separate the wizards from the rest. so you have lots of eye towers for the wizards on one side and u wall that area and only open on the other side which will be full of bone towers for the other mobs. so the eyes will early on kill the wizards because only they surpass the walls.
