I agree about the canoe controls! Actually, you can just hold forward and use the mouse to steer, or the right stick if you're using a gamepad. You can also use the arrow keys or left stick to move around. I recently updated the controls so you can steer using the left and right buttons too! (But that will only be available in the patched version once the jam ends.)
And thanks for pointing out the music loop! I'll take a look at that too.
