You nailed the 70s-80s atari and early arcade art style. Nice job emulating the missile command gameplay, the bombs were nice however I was lost on how often they recharged, and didn't realize they did until the end of wave 2. Nice job
Cant beat good ol missile command! Only thing I would have liked was some more feedback on when my stuff hit enemies. Cool twist ending too. Nice work!
I think this is a fun twist to the traditional missile command style gameplay. And speaking of twists, what an ending! After all that work...
Only thing I'd add to feedback is that I was never quite sure how the missile weapons worked, as far as when they detonated. Sometimes they blew up right away, sometimes they made it across the screen?
A classic and a fun rendition of it! I really enjoyed the art and the enemy variety. I did wish for some more ‘juice’ and feedback on if I was doing damage, I felt like some enemies I just couldn’t kill no matter how much I sunk bullets into them, but I still made it through a few waves. Good work!
This was really satisfying once I realized that the cannons were muuuuch more powerful than the little guns and I could take down even the big ships pretty quickly! I enjoyed this play on space invaders but three, the art is clean and nice and the music was gorgeous! I can't believe the twist in the story at the end... rip to human...
I wish I had the machine guns were the whole time
once I got the reload system it was much easier lol. Still wish I had machine guns the whole time go brrrrrrr
Fun Missile Command-like! It would have been good to have some controls/instructions prompt in-game, though. My first attempt through I only was clicking and didn't understand the cooldown since there was no visual indicator for that, either, but I still survived through wave 3. The difficulty is pretty low overall - it doesn't seem like the player is punished all that much for leaving enemies alive, especially since there's only three waves, and enemies can target cities that are already destroyed.
I think hit effects and sound fx would make a big difference! Having that extra feedback when damaging enemies I think would do a lot to make the action even more satisfying, since getting a good missile hit (especially on multiple enemies) already feels great
Lots of fun! The mechanics are quite robust, albeit familiar. A great twist at the end and a smart approach to the jam's themes.
pretty fun little wave shooter game!!
I said "oh Hell Yeah!" out loud alone in my room as soon as I realized what kind of game this was. So fun and addictive! Great art too, I loved the ending!
Love the poster and it was fun blasting aliens, wish there were sfx but I understand the time constraints, nice job!
I like all the art and the music, and it was fun to time the different missiles
Music really captured the spirit of Independence Day / alien invasion. But no sfx ;(
I liked the character art too.
By spamming keys I was able to win first try
Pretty tough game. I like it! However I did have difficulty telling if I was hitting the enemy or not.
