Update: 1.0.90a is up.

Since the last post: I played the whole chapter start to finish and rewrote Grandfather's letters. People kept saying they read like AI, and they were right: almost every letter ended on a little proverb or on praising the player. Now they're about things he actually handled (a lantern, his boots, a newspaper clipping) and they vary in length. The English letters also use contractions now, so they sound like the same person who wrote the notes.

Fishing also had no way to fail. In two full runs I got 61 bites and landed all 61. Big fish now bite twice: a light tap first, then the real pull. Strike on the tap and it gets away.

And the feeders on the island looked like park benches. They're open troughs now, so you can see empty, half or full from across the island.

If you play: does any letter still sound machine-written to you? Paste the line and I'll fix it.
