I think Kal is talking about the full release here, not 1.9 (it depends how you interpret it):

Then why not say 1.9 will drop before GTA still 🤔I think it is logical to assume 2.0 and the Steam release will bleed into 2027 now...
I haven't checked the Discord in a while, but I think I remember Kal mentioning how the GTA 6 post was referring to the "GTA 6 PC port", not the console port. The GTA 6 PC port is not expected to release in November, to my knowledge. This could also be why Kal has continued saying the 1.9 update has a "2026" release date instead of a "GTA 6 release date". h7yuan said something similar, but I might be wrong.
I really hope Kal isn't trolling about this, but I know that he has been known to troll in the past.
I am putting my expectations at literally New Years, and I am hoping for a Halloween or GTA release date.

Kal then goes into details about personal hardships affecting his life recently, but I haven't read enough of the Discord for the full context. I'll just leave this at "The 1.9 update will not be released before the GTA 6 console port."
😑 see this is why we need Dr.Muramasa around to clear the air and set realistic expectations in the Itch forums.
Anyone reading that tweet would jump to the conclusion that 1.9 would release before November 19th.
If Kal is still dealing with personal matters, that is fine and they take priority before the game. But ask a mod to jump on itch and add a post that the eta is still 2026.
