This was a cute concept.

I wish the limitation was incorporated in a way that effected the gameplay or mechanics somehow.

There was a lot of clipping of models through each-other. I really liked the leaves falling though.

It took me a while to get used to the controls. I'm not sure why I am pressing E sometimes at the counter to interact with the items vs clicking on them from my platter.

From a design perspective, I am feeling a lack of motivation to upgrade the items I'm selling because it makes my life more difficult for no perceived  gain. Maybe if the fancier items got more money, it might be more enticing. (Also maybe this happens, but there weren't prices marked, so I couldn't tell)

thanks. should i make all interactions mouse based only or keyboard based only(E)

Test it and find out! It's always a long process for me to fine tune things.

Maybe have both as options for both?

Will make a hit like schedule 1 as a tunisian solo game dev.. all models are created with blender

Neat little game, though I feel like the limitation wasn't incorporated super well (admittedly idk how you'd fit it better though :/)

I do think clicking on the stuff at the counter to pick it up would've been better, especially once you unlock the full wall of stuff, trying to pick one out of the several nearby was a bit of a pain

I also discovered that I could take items off of a table and put them back on repeatedly for effectively infinite cash, and lots of very strange things kept happening as a result lol (had several several orders per table and they seemed to only actually accept one order as the "correct" one? unsure tbh )

Developer

i will fix that.. thanks

Developer

that bug of infinite earning money is now fixed! will upload the new game version in few hours

I'm not sure you should be updating the game while the judging is taking place

The overall concept of the game is good but its too simple to directly take the coffee from counter, i wish there is some more interaction like i need to fill the coffee cup or put the ice cream in the cone or similar.

I also had issues while serving the customers their orders cuz i cant figure out which button to press to serve them.

Developer

thanks for the feedback

Fun little game! I played until I had 4 tables and had all the items up to soda (or maybe cake? can't remember which was higher) unlocked.

Constructive notes:

  • I wish there was  a pause option so I could pause while taking notes, even if letting tables expire doesn't "hurt" the player at all
  • I think the controls would be more intuitive if picking up the item was the same as for setting an item down. E.g. if we click items to set them down, I'd like to click them to pick them up as well.
  • I did find one little bug -- if you walk into the flagpole just right, you can walk up it, then over onto the counter, and then walk over top of all the obstacles & whatnot without collisions. Made navigating around the cafe a little quicker! Lol

Good job overall though, thanks for sharing!

Developer
