What did you revive? What was your inspiration?
I revived a classic (but special) grid-based merge-puzzle loop, inspired by a mobile game called Triple Town. I have been playing Triple Town since I was twelve years old. I always wanted to recreate its satisfying merge-puzzle feeling and build my own version of it. I wanted to turn it into a cosy but tense frog-pond game with escalating scores, moving enemies, and roguelite upgrade choices. I first started working on my game about a year ago, but the project was left unfinished for a while. This game jam gave me the perfect reason to pick it up again, expand it, and finally turn it into a proper game called *King Quaximus*.

How do you play your game? Is controller required?
Frog King is played with a mouse. Place Amphibians on the grid, merge three or more matching neighbours, manage Herons and Foxes, and build powerful score combinations. Feel free to open the Rules Book ingame. No controller is required.

What asset packs did you use? What, if any, content is AI generated?
I did not use any asset packs. All visual assets, including sprites, UI elements, and artwork, were drawn by me.
AI-generated music and sound effects are currently used in the game. I also used ChatGPT as a coding and translation assistant. No other AI-generated content was used.

Really fun mechanic and an interesting UI! It took me a little while to understand how everything worked, but once it clicked the game got really engaging and hard to put down. Nice job!

Loved the art and sound effects! The gameplay is easy to pick up, but surprisingly deep. I found it pretty challenging, in a good way.

Nice job!
