I liked how you managed to tell the story in such a short amount of time and avoided dragging things out. The jumpscare really got me — it was very unexpected and actually scared me.

I really loved the visuals and the story, but one things that stands out to me was the music, it was perfect, it really fit everything and you had a designated music for every part. Great job

Developer(+2)

hehe thank you, well we were working with a very understanding and good composer who really nailed the vibe we intended.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the game, and especially the music. This is one of my first works, and comments like these encourage me to keep working hard so I can do this for a living. Thank you so much for your comment!

This took me back to playing those old 2D RPGs on Nintendo DS - but with a scary and disturbing twist! Really good writing and interesting characters. I like the way how you swap characters at points too. Plus the artwork of the monster is genuinely terrifying... nice work!

My only minor nitpick is that it would be cool to explore the levels a little more as it feels like most of the game is dialogue. But that does make sense as it's a story focused game. Overall, very well done :)

Hey! thanks for the review. We did plan on including the explore feature in levels but were really short on time...So we did what we could in the final stretch to make the game complete.

Reminds me of those old quality horror games you used to see on youtube back in the day (talking 10+ years ago now!) and I mean that in a good way. I also appreciate the lack of incredibly loud jump scares while having some genuinely creepy and disturbing stuff on show. Great work.

Only critique I have are the dialogue sounds, they appear to be on a separate bus or are not affected by the options menu and for me they were LOUD. The sound choices were also a bit too harsh, but that was amplified by the loudness. Those should be easy fixes and I wish you the best, crackin first jam!

thanks for the review Neko! I'll look into these things for sure!

I'm not usually a big fan of dialogue-heavy games, but yours really managed to draw me in and create a genuinely creepy horror atmosphere within just a few minutes.

I really enjoyed playing it.

I wasn`t expecting that ending, it really got me. Funny and short game but i do feel it lacks a bit more interactivity, like inspecting photos, more dialogues options etc.
