I love your artstyle! By far my favorite interaction was the discussion on how much to charge a ghost for rent (I think it would depend on the kind of ghost)

This game was really charming and its baffling you don't have more reviews! We would love to potentially get in contact with you if you'd ever like to do any future projects, you really showed off something special.

I'm glad you enjoyed  (Poltergeists should be $2.5K, Banshees around $4-5K, Wraiths $20K+).

Thank you for playing!

Absolutely stunning game!!! I'm a huge professor layton fan, and this felt like such a cute charming, spooky ec(c)ho of that series. Plus your character designs and art are some wonderful - super cute characters, and wonderful writing. As others noted, you also did a great job with vibes of knowing when to swap the background style. All-in-all an incredibly polished game that I'll 100% be plating again. Huge congrats - this is wildly impressive, and even more so for a solo dev!!!!!

I'm very happy someone caught my Layton inspiration. Every day I miss the DS more.

Thank you for playing!

Charming  characters  and art style. The varied expressions on the sprites made for a very lively and engaging experience!  Well done.

Incredible achievement for a solo dev, great art + great characters + great story + funky music + you're awesome + birdbrain.

THE ART especially stands out to me with these expressive characters, literally every frame is so juicy and eye catching! And the drawn backgrounds are so detailed and awesome! Very clean work, clearly done by a pro.

The 3d renders are quite a cool addition, I like how out of place they look, really makes the place feel otherworldly for the cast. They look funny walking around in there, like looney toons characters in a live action film.

The story is absolute cinema. I love how lighthearted it is, while still managing to keep the creepy vibe of backrooms. All the characters are larger than life goofballs but they're still taking the situation seriously and not completely disregarding the danger they're in. It's a nice balance of comfort and mystery!

Overall, this game is very much on point! Its got lots of coziness with a hint of unsettling dread, just like a liminal space! Might be my favorite entry in the jam, but I like backrooms so I'm kinda biased there lol.

This was so cute! The fact that you made this alone is crazy, and I really like all of the character's designs! The blue-eye stare moment really got me XD Great work!
