IMMUNKA [Windows alpha] — are upgrades clear, and do you want a second run?

Game Title: IMMUNKA

Playable Link: https://immunka-dev.itch.io/immunka

Platform: Windows PC (downloadable ZIP).

Build: Alpha 0.4.2, playable now.

Involvement: We're the team developing the game.

IMMUNKA is a 2D survivor roguelite inside the human body. You dodge cartoon viruses and bacteria, combine weapons and upgrades, and move through organ arenas toward bosses and Sepsis. Attacks are automatic; you control movement, dash and a hero ability. The alpha supports English and Russian, with offline solo play.

We're looking for first-play feedback on version 0.4.2. Please try 15–20 minutes and tell us:

1. Where did you first feel unsure what to do, especially when a wave ended?

2. Which upgrade noticeably changed your run? Was any choice hard to understand?

3. Would you start another run? What made you stop or keep playing?

You don't need to finish the game. A short reply about one confusing moment is useful. If you report a bug, please include your hero, organ, version and what happened; a screenshot helps.

The Linux build is experimental and available separately, together with a Windows mirror:

Balance, UI and co-op are still being tested. We use AI-assisted tools for some artwork, code and text; there is no online generation during gameplay.

OMG! We are making 2 very similar games!!! But then each one of us goes into a different genre.

Since we are both in the immune system, let's test each other's games. I'd love to test your game, but can you make it playable in the browser? Asking testers to download an. exe file creates friction; it will reduce your overall tester count

Hey! Haha, fellow immune-system devs  I’d love to try your game too!

You’re right about the download adding friction, thanks for pointing that out. Right now we have a downloadable alpha, but a browser build would make it much easier for people to jump in and try it. Definitely something to look into.

Really curious to see how we’ve taken the same setting in different directions!

The human-body setting gives IMMUNKA an interesting hook! I develop games at Capricorn Studioz, and upgrade clarity is something I pay attention to. Do upgrade choices show how they affect your current weapon or ability before you select them? That’s one thing I’d look for in a first run, especially when deciding which combinations to try next.
