Glad to help. But for some reason, I can't move! I just sit there and wait to die!

I understood that I needed to bring light. The points that I missed are the mechanics. For example, I never realized I needed to backtrack to collect pollen. And there I was, scratching my head about why I had none!
Yes, sure, I'd be happy to give it another run. Sounds promising. I like restoration games.
In fact, I created one, but as the immune system. Since you are a game designer and a new player, I'd appreciate it if you could take a look at my little game and give me your honest, brutal feedback!

OMG! We are making 2 very similar games!!! But then each one of us goes into a different genre.
Since we are both in the immune system, let's test each other's games. I'd love to test your game, but can you make it playable in the browser? Asking testers to download an. exe file creates friction; it will reduce your overall tester count
Congratulations on building your dream game! I gave it a try. Although I might not be the target audience, if you want, take my playtest with a grain of salt!
I was super confused and didn't understand anything! So many menus fighting for my attention. So many options to answer. For example, one city offered my alliance, and it showed a list of responses. This list has 8 options! And I still don't know what the game is about, who I am, or what I need to do! Another pop-up told me my men wanted gold. Cool! But where do I get gold? In Warcraft, there was a mine near my city center.
Anyways, it looks like Civ, and I honestly never played Civ; I'm not into complicated games. Hence. Maybe you can ignore this whole comment. Don't let me discourage you. The game looks beautiful, and I wish you the best of luck
- Where did it feel slow, and where did it go by too fast?
The whole game is so slow. Walking is slow. Healing is even slower. And it takes forever to collect the points. I played for 15 minutes (I think) and barely got 3 upgrades - Did the tree choices feel meaningful, or did you just buy whatever was cheapest?
I wanted to move faster coz... ugh! So slow!! - Was it clear what to do in your first couple of journeys?
First run, I just stood still. Wanted to know that is walking what consumes light or even standing still? Then what do I need to do, and why? I tried walking to the open edge, but the map ended there. Even after that, I didn't know if I should just walk randomly or, for example, if I needed to isolate land pieces and restore them!
Over all felt aimless to me!
For me, it was a huge investment upfront. So much text to read and so many choices to make, and I don't even know what the game is about. The graphics are screaming AI-generated. NGL, that probably means the gameplay isn't balanced yet, so I'm not going to invest in learning it. If it had thrown me right into the action (the Aha-moment), maybe it would have been easier for me to get sold
1. The first day and night of Five Nights. Did the tutorial give you enough to hold the first night? Where did you get stuck or confused?
Honestly, I didn't know what I had to do. The tutorial said to put the mortar team in the middle. But then nothing happened. Nights kept passing, but nothing changed. I tried to build. I dug trenches, laid wires... and waited forever, but nothing happened. The HQ squad won't move. I don't know what do with soldiers. And the mortar team should be in the place I asked for. Finally, I clicked to skip this order and all the following orders because I didn't know what to do
2. When did you stop playing, and why? Even "lost interest on night 2" helps.
After exiting the tutorial, I tried moving my soldiers out of the base. I fired some shots, and it seemed like I killed some enemies. Then I honestly didn't know what the task was. Do I need to gather resources? Train my army? And what was the objective? There were no enemy bases or troops. So I gave up.
3. If you try the campaign: does the province map make sense? That's sending squads out, then fighting the contact yourself or letting it auto-resolve.
I tried the campaign, yes. But didn't see a map. I was trapped in my little base forever
Why only the first one? Did you get bored, wasn't the game your type, or was it something else?
It didn't feel like a win because the game told me to balance myself. I wanted to let them all escape with barely any HP. But that's almost impossible because once launched, I can't stop or control anything. I don't like turn-based games, and this is one reason.
But the game reassured me by saying they would come back tomorrow. It felt strange because I killed them all, so they should be angry. But who knows! It seems they love to die. So I went to level 2, then got bored tbh
Boss on Duty. The general idea I understand is that I need to beat the attackers, but still not beat them. To find the sweet spot so they enjoy attacking me. The abilities are straightforward. I beat them all on the first run.
But then the game started giving me options for upgrade paths, and honestly, I don't like or play similar games like this. It reminds me of Vampire Survivors, Goobies, Slay the Spire... all are games that I don't like or understand. So sorry I'm not the best tester for your second game!
I fixed mine based on your feedback. If you have the time I'd appreciate a second run to see if you enjoy it or understand what you need to do
You’re the white blood cell. Bacteria are on the menu. Engulf, clean, restore
Got five minutes? I’m looking for two people to try this tiny browser prototype and tell me how it feels.
5~10 minutes. Desktop + mouse. No download or signup. Three optional questions inside. Honest criticism welcome.
My main question: does moving, engulfing and cleaning feel enjoyable? Confusing, awkward or boring moments are especially useful feedback.
I’ve tested it so much that I need fresh eyes! Your help is much needed my friends :)
I hope you've gotten better, Melanie, and you are back to your usual enthusiasm. I would love to play your Steampunk puzzle game. Which one is it? I've sifted through the whole list, and I don't recall seeing that one. Is it even released?
And I loved this game. But it really needs a guidebook or something. Because once inflammation raises, nothing lowers it. I tried several times and then gave up
