Oh, well, it's very nice to leave a message! I've always admired game designs that I see as "elegant", something that you genuinely cannot find anywhere else, and which does not suffer from bloat, something which has achieved "the kind of perfection where there is nothing left to take away". DCSS was my rolemodel in this domain, and I have tried on and off since 2020 to reproduce this kind of greatness, with unpromising results.

Yes, Terminal and Fluffy have always been recurring characters, more fleshed out in my latest builds. "Fluffy" is not its real name, of course, but a nickname given because its true name is too dangerous to hear... and it sounding silly and cute reduces its potential cognitohazard.

I explicitly wanted to move away from killing things because I felt it was disconnected with my worlds' flavour, it was one of my design goals for quite some time.

I like the concept of tricking enemies into defeating themselves as well. I think killing things should still be possible, but unrewarding. So if all you do is mindlessly attack, you end up falling behind the curve and being doomed to failure. Similar to how summoners worked pre-0.28 in DCSS: more powerful than usual, but more unrewarding, resulting in eventually falling behind and being doomed.

Killing things should either come at some kind of cost ({creature}'s mind cries out into the void, spreading the disease among hundreds more!) or just not get you anywhere ("That felt strangely unrewarding.")

Another thing to mention is that I LOVE gameplay referencing lore. For example, some kind of antisynergy with the Unhinged and Saintly. Or with the Ordered and Feral.

I know this is the beta and you've definitely patched this by now, but I just did something crazy: I finished off the last epsilon with the default feral caste dash, and it threw me INTO THE VOID as the victory screen flashed, causing me to glitch into the final room I just beat at the very start of the new game. All the crafted spells were gone, but even stranger, all the mobs were completely frozen, with me being able to just smack them as I wished. Apparently the game considered me to still be in the first room, even though I was in the final room. Quite the insane experience.
