Historical Accuracy
We used Apollo 11 as inspiration for the jam. I researched online of the moon landing. I pulled a quote from neil armstrong online.

This was charming, and a bit surprising! Even though I ultimately didn't have agency in the outcome, being able to move the Module around while landing took it from a short film to a more interactive medium - definitely the strongest part in my opinion. I could see this working in a longer format for more casual/new gamers!

I think it could've used one more section, maybe walking Neil Armstrong / the Monkey to where the flag gets planted.

There was something really charming about this one! Nice little cinematic experience! Great job!

It's nice that you added dates and facts, the original recording of the countdown and put effort into making the models according to the actual objects.

The music track reminds me a lot of the movie Interstellar. Was it inspired by it?

I didn't think there is any difference to using WASD to move the lander so I didn't. And it still landed. That was an opportunity to add more interaction but it was not used.

Great work! Now is the time to think about the actual gameplay.

The visuals! From the model accuracy to the swinging camera to the relief map of the moon, your imaging and audio is a real hook.

Is this a cozy game?

Engrossing and strange certainly, but I’m struggling to evaluate this as a game (as opposed to a movie with interactions). Consider me confused and charmed.

Very cinematic approach. Music was a good match too.

No real gameplay though which is a shame - the lunar lander part has potential though - although the control directions seemed to be wrong. The moon surface looked great.
I didn't notice the monkey :) - will have to give it another go.

... ah I see the monkey now :).
This time around I didn't press any keys for the lander part and it landed fine.
Perhaps you could highlight the landing zone and crash if the player doesn't maneuver it there.

It should be a monkey! Yes! Yeah all agree Monkey!

I will update the crash part.

The way you chose to frame each scene is really cinematic and looks pretty aesthetic. Is it actually a monkey in the space suit!?

Developer

Everyone is saying monkey. So I agree it should be a monkey.

I really liked the monkey in a spacesuit
