I wonder how you created the pixelated corridors, walls and such, looked very nice.

Nice atmosphere through sound. Somehow reminded me of Resident Evil as a point'n'click?

I really liked the visuals and the atmosphere, a hint system would do perfectly, the constant exploring might get a bit tough and repetitive. Also the writing was really good, fascinating job with the game

The creepy atmosphere of the abandoned lab, oof! The game is worthy! It completely immerses you in an atmosphere of eerie mystery. There definitely need to be ways to examine the video footage, photos, flasks, tools that you find, and the failed experiments. I really love this kind of stuff! The author is a great writer! I enjoyed the game!

It's a cool game. I really liked it. I really like the style and gameplay. I didn't get lost walking through the corridors at all. I do not know why many people complain about this. The sound design and UX/UI design of the game are just great. The story is presented perfectly, which makes it very creepy. I suggest adding a mini-map in the next update. Good luck XD

Developer

Ahhh thank you for playing!! XD
I'm actually pretty proud of the UI, so it makes me really happy to hear that :) Also glad you survived the corridors without getting lost. lmao.
Minimap is coming in the next update! Planning to finish the game this year tho, hope you'll stop by again!

I will be looking forward to updates.

First of all, I really enjoy the writing here even through the story is quite vague, the way you describe the player situation or objects genuinely dreadful and unsettling. Its really rare to see a visual novel game here, and you absolute nailed this genre.
However, as the comments have said, the game needs a minimap because the player can  get lost easily with just words on the screen. Also, is there an actually way to get the code? I have collected everything in the game but cant access the room

Overall, its a great game and it really needs more rating

Developer

Thanks for the review!!!

Yea, I was a bit nervous about posting my VN here too, since it's my first time using this game engine. I was actually planning to make this in RPG Maker, but I'm using a Mac, lol.
That's also why I completely forgot to make a minimap for the player, but I'll definitely add one in the next update! Also, by "words," do you mean that just showing which room the player is in would be enough? I hadn't thought about that before, but this might actually be the ideal solution!

I also realized I haven't added enough storytelling for players to figure out the code yet, so for now, there's really only the space to explore.
Really appreciate you dropping by!

Nah I dont think showing the room's name is enough, it needs either a minimap or a button to open a map, so the players can know where they are exactly. But thats just my suggestion, I dont play that many vns to give a good advice lol

I love how grungy and grotesque this games kind of gets with it's multitude of body horror, I keep getting lost while traveling around though and I'm not sure if there was an answer to the terminal as I've tried poking around everything (that i know of)

Anyhow, this game has a pretty interesting premise and an even more interesting location. I'm also very impressed by the art inside this game, they look amazing!

Developer

Heyy thanks for dropping by!
It's supposed to be a maze with a minimap on the side but I didn't have enough time to polish the minimap :/
There are answers for the terminal but not enough information in the demo, it'll be more story telling in the next update!

The atmosphere is really disturbing, which I love. On the other hand, navigation is very mazelike and confusing. That may be intended, but I find it a bit frustrating. Maybe a minimap would be helpful?

The story has a good hook / mystery: "why am I collecting so many teeth?". Couldn't progress further than that so I'm not sure if that particular question is answered.

Developer

Thank you for the review!
I was going to make one! but I couldn't made it in time, ideally a minimap with of where you explored will be showing up on the side panels. I do have a lot of updates coming up for this project!
And yes the demo is only collecting and roaming around, not so much story telling this time.
