Saucer Smugglers – an idle game about smuggling aliens out of Hangar 51 (free browser demo)

Saucer Smugglers is a pixel-art idle game I made in my free time, out now for Windows and Mac, with a free demo you can play in your browser.

Saucer Smugglers: the Turbo Ray speeding up a young alien's growth

The government shut down Hangar 51, but nobody switched off the antenna. Every night a capsule falls from the sky: grab it before the agents do, raise the alien inside and sell it to collectors who ask no questions. Cross two aliens and the baby inherits traits from both, which is how you find 12 hybrids and three legends of UFO folklore. It keeps growing while the game is closed.

Full game: https://guanedigital.itch.io/saucer-smugglers (30% off in the itch.io Halloween Sale, until November 4)

AI disclosure: the art and audio were generated with AI and fitted by hand; most of the code was written by an AI coding assistant (Claude) from my specs, and I reviewed, tested and fixed it. The design and balance are mine.

I'd love to hear what you think, bugs included.

The Hangar 51 premise is a great hook, and breeding alien hybrids is a fun collection goal. Something may be keeping idle fans from finding it, and every visitor who passes by is a sale that never happens.

Thanks Good call on the numbers. A full catalog takes about a month of casual check-ins, so I’ll add that to the page. The lab is already in the demo, so you can get a hybrid or two before it ends. I’d rather show the crossing working than cut it right before. I’ll check that most players actually get there, though.

Makes sense, and thanks for walking through it. Saucer Smugglers has a fun premise, and it would be a shame if something kept idle fans from finding it, since every missed player is a lost sale. Rooting for it!

I will give this one a whirl.
