For a first 3D project, this is incredibly solid and well-done. I liked the monster designed and the simplistic gameplay; I felt like there was enough that it didn't FEEL like it was your first project. I also enjoyed the little minigame you put in there. The only problem I had was that the game didn't run well on my computer. I don't know if that was a problem with Godot or with me; I didn't think the game felt too graphic-heavy but I also couldn't change any settings to make it run better. The only improvement I can think of is adding an option to maybe turn down graphics just in case people have trouble running it as is. Overall, this was enjoyable and I hope you keep up the 3D work.
Thank you very much for the feedback. Looking back, I realize I didn't include any performance systems, the kind typically found in 3D games. I’ve since studied this and applied what I’ve learned; I hope to create more 3D games soon. Thanks again for the feedback!
I really enjoyed the artsyle and look of the game main character reminded a lot mob psycho :). I also loved the game withing a game arcade part. great work!
I don’t know why but the arcade cabinet minigame filled my heart with joy. It’s just a little gimmick that really stands out in a good way and I will be copying your homework
I think the mouselook would occasionally break while running, and I could see the monster teleport in front of me a couple of times, but everything else was remarkably well polished. Found all the cans, found the three newspapers, succumbed to the monster, had good fun.
i absolutely loved every second of this!~
the monster design was so cool
Thank you very much for the feedback; even though the game is short, I'm glad you enjoyed the experience and liked the creature's design.
Very simple yet enjoyable gameplay and amazing visuals. I really like the monster too. For your first 3D game this is really well done! I would have loved to see more gameplay elements.
Thanks a lot for the feedback.
I didn't want to get completely tied up in this project like I did with previous jams; I work as a freelancer, so I’d sometimes neglect my actual work just to deliver a fully polished, high-quality game. This one was really just for learning purposes, which is why the main menu isn't as with juice, for instance.
But I hope you had fun with what was there.
