👋 Hello everyone, and a HUGE thank you to our very first participant for joining Transmedia Jam #1! 🚀

I’m fully committed to making this jam an amazing and inspiring experience for all of us. Since this is our very first edition, I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any ideas you might have to make this event even better!

A quick note for our early joiners:

If you’d like to introduce yourself below, share what you’re planning to build, or drop links to your current work/socials, please do! I’m more than happy to highlight your work, feature your projects, and, if you want, share them across my social media channels to support you and give your work extra visibility. 🎨🎬🎮

I can also produce, for this event, promotional materials with  samples  of your work if you allow me to do so.

Feel free to introduce yourself, pitch your concept, or just say hi! What kind of media combination are you planning to explore?

Looking forward to creating together!

Great! I love your games and art. I joined your Discord server and subscribed to your YouTube channel. You do an awesome job with your promotional edits and showreels for your SKG jams. I co-founded a game studio called Actiplay in Montpellier (France) back in 2001—I made hundreds of Flash games, but I don't code anymore since this technology vanished (my last game in javascript is this) and don't really know many people in the industry these days. Do you think programmers in your community might be interested in the Transmedia Jam?

we are not harsh in our community to promote your jam we encourage it . because the next one is really at the summer you always can share your jam.

Thanks a lot! I'll post a message on your Discord server tomorrow then. Most people I know are writers, so I hope it leads to cool discussions and maybe even collabs between them and the programmers in this jam community!

Hi :D, I come from the SKG Discord. Very excited for this jam.. I’ve wanted to try out making something more experimental for a while now, but never got into it. This jam is the perfect excuse :P. In fact I already had some ideas for transmedia games in the past, but they were too big in scope for me to execute. I also wanted to get a bit into writing recently: I’ll probably make a written story with a game complementing each other. Conceptual songs are also pretty cool, and would be perfect this jam, but I lack musical skills. I am trying to learn a DAW tho, I’ll try to make my own soundtrack (even if it sounds a bit shit) :-)

Hi @olistupid! Welcome!

Awesome to have you here, especially coming from the SKG Discord! (Thanks again to DVH by the way) What you’re describing—combining a written story with a complementing game and making your own soundtrack on a DAW—is 100% the spirit of this Transmedia Jam. Don't worry at all about the sound: raw, experimental, and sincere stuff made with passion will always hit harder than polished, soulless content!

I actually went to check out the games on your page, and I have to say: I find them super original!

Personally, I’ll take a high-concept game with real personality over yet another AAA clone that relies solely on graphics and shiny aesthetic every single day. I'm a huge fan of meme culture and all the fascinating art movements/subcultures that have grown out of it.

I’m drawn to games that actually have something to say—something with a strong message or an unusual perspective—rather than "neutral" gameplay built just to pass time. To be honest, I hate mainstream stuff; I feel like that endless search for "neutrality" in mainstream media is just a lullaby to keep people asleep!

So please, go wild, experiment, test your ideas, and express yourself freely! We can't wait to see (and play/read/listen to) what you come up with for the jam. Have fun! 🚀🎮📜

Great to see that you also joining this jam. And Also if you fail a lot you are doing something right.

Hi everyone! I'm ochan1998, a creator based in Japan. I'm interested in fiction, mysteries, and AI-assisted creation. I don't usually play games, but I love making things and exchanging creative ideas.

I've just joined this jam and am still exploring what to make. A small project combining a story with images sounds like a good place to start. I'd love to meet people from different creative backgrounds, chat about ideas, and see whether we might make something together.

I use translation support for English, so I may take a little time to reply. I'm happy to start with relaxed conversations here. Nice to meet you all! What kinds of stories or media combinations are you interested in?

Hi ochan1998! Welcome to the Transmedia Jam #1! 🇯🇵✨

Your approach to combining short fiction with visuals is a perfect fit for this jam. Exploring how stories, visuals, and translation or AI tools intersect is exactly the kind of hybrid, cross-media narrative experiment we're excited to see here.

Don't worry about language barriers at all—we're thrilled to have you with us! Feel free to pitch your ideas or look for collaborators right here in the forum.

Pro-tip: Please feel free to create your own dedicated topic in this forum to post devlogs and progress updates for your project. I'll pin it to the top so everyone can follow your journey!

On my end, I've just launched a massive transmedia project over at https://www.lapinchien.com. After writing for 25 years on a French underground literature site, I decided to erase my 320 legacy texts, all comments, all trace of my existence there, to rebuild the most compelling ones in English, wrapped in a whole transmedia package: fake movie trailers featuring famous actors, behind-the-scenes easter eggs, satirical interviews, fake TV show segments, and whatever medium fits the narrative.

So far, I've published the first story package, which you can check out right here: https://lapinchien.itch.io/a-singular-day

Really looking forward to seeing what you build during the jam! 🎨📖

Hi! I’m the creator of Prompts vs Evil, a fantasy comedy about AI prompts and unintended consequences. In S07, “Sources,” a demon asks an AI assistant for precedents to support a soul contract. The assistant retracts citations that cannot be verified; later the demon finds websites repeating one of them and says, “Good. Real enough now.” The episode is free on WEBTOON: https://www.webtoons.com/en/canvas/prompts-vs-evil/list?title_no=1175829. The artwork is AI-assisted; the story is written and directed by a human. For a Humans vs AI project, I’m interested in stories about the gap between what people ask and what AI returns. What are others exploring?

Welcome to the jam discussions! Even if you haven't officially joined yet, you are right on the money.

That specific episode of Prompts vs Evil touches on something hilarious and terrifying: the moment an AI hallucination crosses the line into "social reality" just because it ends up indexed somewhere online. It's the ultimate loop of the Attention Economy.

Regarding your question about "the gap between what people ask and what AI returns", that's arguably where all the narrative gold is hiding right now. When users prompt an AI, they expect a tool, but they often get a mirror that distorts their desires, or a ghost that literalizes their metaphors in completely unhinged ways.

Are you exploring that exact friction in your webtoon—the misunderstanding between human intent and machine literalism? Glad to have you drop by the forum! 🚀
