First-contact checklist for inspection puzzles (readable before clever):
1) Seal / rule labels must be legible at rest — hover-only text fails on touch and on “I glanced once.”
2) When two rules could apply, mark *why* the chosen rule won (one short clause under the choice), or players random-pick and blame RNG when the penalty hits.
3) Teach repair vs quarantine in the first successful contract with a side-by-side that freezes one beat — not a wall of intro.
4) If older rules matter later, force one early contract where the newest rule is a red herring; otherwise people never look back.
I’ll note device/browser + the first confusing screen if I can do a natural stop-when-done run on the new build.
