might be missing something but it opens for me in a terminal, which i thought was part of the game and found cool, but then upon confirmation/enter it just runs then insta-closes. to be transparent i am running it on mac via emulator, but most exe/windows games work fine for me. if there's something i need to do or if you can get a mac build at some point would love to try it!
Okay, Iβll do everything I can.
Nice one, you can definitely feel that Sppoky's Jumpscare Mansion inspo, impressive it uses a custom engine. I noticed rooms were literally embeded in txt files, which is crazy. Wish you have joined us sooner, and simply wish there was more. It had a nice meditative vibe, and a potential monsters, would send us through the roof, dying of fear π«
I like it the game idea and the concept, probably itβs not the game for me, but I think itβs a good game also I admire the fact that raylib was used.
I like the combination of backrooms and P.T., the sound created a nice atmosphere, although it could be nice to have more spooky or mysterious elements around the rooms, perhaps altering them with weird elements. Kudos for making your own engine, Raylib is a nice framework.
The looping movement made me think of P.T.
Sad no monsters got added - but alas you made a engine in SDL so you are definitely learning and improving!
Always gratifying seeing someone spin their own engine
Hopefully more can be added to this and the mansion can be fleshed out
Thanks for the feedback! By the way, I recommend playing through it again—the game actually has an ending:))
Nice experience, with a vampiric backrooms feel =) I liked the lighting and the confusing looping architecture. I found the key in the hidden room but couldnβt find the lock for it, Iβll keep trying for a bit.
Thanks for the feedback! I was primarily inspired by the "Rooms" mode in Roblox and the game "Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion." In other words, you don't need to search for a specific spot to use a key in this game.
Nice locations
Thank!
