I think this is the best Picross game I've played, nothing else competes, it's just so cozy and I love the way the RGP is incorporated in this. One thing that annoys me in most nanogram games is getting penalized for getting stuff wrong, but this game doesn't and it's a relief to do something wrong without the game telling you.

I'm gonna be honest but I was a bit bummed that I did all my progress on the browser instead of on an emulator. This next part is for more techy nerd. To get the saved RAM, in the Browser console go to Storage > Local Storage > and select the itch zone site. After that, select the "extram" key, then in the menu on the right click the array at the top and right click to copy it.

After this, it depends what you do next, but I used Lua. I used the following code `for _,k in pairs({20, 247, 183, 149, 0, 0, ...}) do io.write(string.format("%02x", k)) end` in a Lua enviourment (most Linux distros should have it by just running "lua" in the terminal) and in the pairs array you paste the int array you got from "extram" (but without the string, : " and [], duh).

I don't understand Lua io library enough, so I just took the text output and put it into a file using ImHex and saved it like "TaiFab-1-4-2.ram" in the same place as the GameBoy ROM and it worked!

The only downside with doing this is finding out that "extram" is a global, so if any Javascript app ever writes the same key, you can lose all your progress.

Thanks for the game again.

Thank you for playing, and I hope you haven't lost any game progress! For anyone else reading this, I definitely recommend playing the game in a local emulator on your PC so that you don't have to worry about losing your save data if your browser clears its cookies or something.

I hope that your data extraction has worked out well for you! 🙂 Thank you so much for your kind comment!
