I really like the flavor-text first. I had to restart a couple times cause it seemed I got into a stuck state involving the tavern keeper where the card would be outside any of the slots, but I couldn’t seem to click/target anything or get it to move.

ah it’s not quite explained but cards like the tavern keeper require a cost to be played, so when he moves out of the slot you need to click a card in play to sacrifice to play him (you can see cost in the top left of the card beside the name, cost of one means you need to sacrifice one in play monster to play him)
Really should’ve explained it in game and probably harmed a lot of people’s understanding but I hope it lets you give the game a proper shot!,
