Just a heads up that Act 3 can get intense, so please check the content warnings. Both Ellis & Benji have the capacity to say and do some extremely toxic and harmful things. You may begin to dislike or even hate them, and that is part of the experience. This act really begins to drive home that the real horror is the relationship itself.

So...even though Benji was so sweet to me, and I grew attached to him, now I might hate him? So, should I just drop this game before I play this act? I've been as depressed as the protoganist, and I've always wanted someone like Benji in my life.

I thought this would be a "comfort" game, but I think I got the point of it wrong. That was my own misunderstanding.

This game does have comfy parts, so I totally see your point, and I’m so sorry for any disappointment. I should’ve specified that this depends on certain choices. I'll edit the post to avoid further confusion.

While it’s possible to avoid some of the horror aspects of this game, it still deals with unhealthy relationships & mental/emotional abuse, though the intensity may vary. Depending on choices, Benji may become more toxic with the intention of hurting the player, and these parts are meant to be horrific. I wanted to prepare people, since Act 3 explores his duality a lot more.

Happy to answer any other questions! If you have concerns about Act 3, please do what feels best, and I completely understand if you choose to drop. Whatever you decide, thank you so much for your support thus far!

One more question: Avoiding spoilers, if I make the right choices, how much less toxic would Benji get? Would he still get physically violent? How much would his words hurt the player? I know relationships aren't all sunshine and rainbows, and I do expect some arguments and disagreements.

Thank you for explaining this for me. I really do want to keep liking Benji.

No prob! Placating Benji may avoid the more overt horror/violence (still horrific in its own way). But since it's hard to know everyone’s limits, I think it’s safest to assume all content warnings may apply, and it’s up to the player to engage or not. I’d hate for ppl to be disappointed or even hurt, so I just really want to be clear this is a horror game at its core.

Hope that helps, and thank you for your question!
