Ssang2 — fair, and I'd rather give you the number than argue with the feel. Acceleration is 900 px/s², friction damps velocity with a 0.135 s time constant, and the speed cap scales with your fire: 270 px/s at full, 146 at a quarter. Which means, at full fire, letting go of a direction coasts you 34 px before you stop, and turning the other way takes 0.30 s of throttle before you are even moving back, 40 px past the point you turned. At low fuel it shrinks to 18-22 px and about 0.15 s. So the swing-past is real and it's mine, not a bug I missed. I built it heavy on purpose because a fire with no weight reads as a cursor. It might still be the wrong call: heavy only works when you can see it, and nothing on screen tells you the cap is falling with your fuel, so the last two rooms feel like the controls got worse. Not touching it until voting closes. After the 7th the cheap version is less damping near the cap, so the swing shrinks and the weight mostly stays. Thanks for naming the inertia specifically. "Sluggish" on its own and I'd have guessed at the wrong thing.
