Released my newest visual novel this week exploring the Balkan folklore of the Vukodlak
https://kaptainviciorious.itch.io/vukodlak

Set in the 19th century when Montenegro was just becoming a country of its own. You will play as Davor, a peasant returning home to Cetinje from war against the Ottoman Empire. But what awaits him is not what he expected as his life has been turned upside down by the bravery he showed in battle.

Made in Arcweave

With 3 endings, hopefully one will feel satisfying to your tastes...

Though I am not from the region, I have lived in Montenegro for several years now and feel like there is something truly mystical about this place.

If you don't know what a Vukodlak is, I suggest you wait to look it up until after you play. But after you've played I encourage you to read Aleksey Konstantinovich Tolstoy’s 1839 gothic novella, "The Family of the Vourdalak" and check out Mario Bava's anthology film "Black Sabbath" (1963) starring Boris Karloff.

Balkan folklore is such an underused setting, nice pick for October. Something may be keeping horror VN readers from finding Vukodlak, and in a busy release week that means players who never get to meet Davor.

thanks for the tip! I have updated the post now

Glad it helped! If you'd like more readers finding Vukodlak, Launch Tavern fixes store pages and launch plans for indie devs. Happy to take a look at launchtavern.com.
