I enjoyed the game a lot! Reminds me of the good old flash escape room days (and Rusty Lake too). I enjoyed the puzzles a lot, the matchstick gimmick feels really good and tense, making the game a good fit for the horror genre. The story was surprisingly good, with a nice ending twist that I won't spoil for anyone reading. Anyway, well done!
Other things I like:
- BGM and door-banging sound really sell the urgency (though there are none)
- Being able to find more matchsticks around the room
Suggestions:
- It took me a while to figure out how to light the matchstick. I personally will prefer swiping on the matchbox instead
- The game needs some indicator of pressing a button, a sound perhaps, to indicate you are actually clicking something useful vs nothing. This is especially true when you are in the dark most of the time
- Some way to know how much a matchstick can still last would be great, perhaps the light getting dimmer and dimmer?
